The Demands of Competitive Spearfishing
Spearfishing requires physical fitness, concentration, technical ability and a thorough understanding of the marine environment.
Competitions follow specific rules, including minimum weight requirements for each species and limits on the number of fish that may be caught per species.
Success depends on preparation and the ability to work together throughout the competition.
A Competition with a Charitable Purpose
The event also had a charitable dimension: the fish caught during the competition were donated to charity.
This commitment gave the competition a purpose beyond the final standings, supporting social organisations through the donation of the catch.
